Stage’s Beauty Bash event features freebies and discounted items from cosmetic counters including Clinique, Estée Lauder and Elizabeth Arden.

The Beauty Bash event is currently taking place until next Tuesday at the Stage store in El Dorado.

“Here at Stage, we believe that the little things matter,” said Aron Huckaby, store manager.

To receive a free gift from any of the three cosmetic counters, a guest must receive a consultation from a makeup consultant.

At the Clinique counter, if a guest receives a consultation, they are gifted Clinique’s take the day off makeup remover.

If a guest makes a purchase, they also receive samples of skin care products and lipstick. If someone makes a purchase of $50 or more, they receive a Beauty Bar bag with a lipstick trio inside.

At the Estée Lauder counter, the free gift with a consultation includes a sample of the Advanced Night Repair Eye cream.

“The (eye cream) is the number one serum in the united states,” said Barbara Bishop, Estée Lauder counter manager. “It attacks every major sign of aging there is and it works.”

Bishop has worked with Estée Lauder for over 30 years and has worked at Stage for 10 years.

Also at the Estée Lauder counter, shoppers will receive Sumptuous Extreme, a lash multiplying volume mascara.

Elizabeth Arden’s free gift with a consultation is a sample bottle of White Tea perfume.

Each counter carries a full line of makeup, color and skin care.

“What I find is a lot of the guests that come in, they don’t realize what skin care needs they actually need,” Huckaby said. “When they sit you down, they start with the skin care first, then after the skin care, they’re going to move on to the foundation and foundation moves on to the color: the lipstick, blush, eyeliner. They pretty much do the full face makeup and then see what the guest may like, what they don’t like and then they go from there.”

Huckaby said an appointment for a consultation isn’t required, but preferred.

“We just want you to come in, let us pamper you and try the product and take a sample home and tell us how you like it,” Huckaby said. “We’ll do a follow up call and see how you like it and then if that’s something you want to purchase in the future, then that’s great, if not, we’re glad that you came in.”

Also at Stage during October is their Pinktober fundraiser for breast cancer awareness. Through Pinktober, Stage has raised over $800,000 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation since 2004.

With every purchase made, a shopper has the opportunity at the register to donate for Pinktober and will receive a 40 percent off coupon.

“For Pinktober, (Stage’s goal) is definitely to raise awareness and try to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation,” Huckaby said. “But the Beauty Bash is mainly for our guests. We just want to say that we appreciate our guests.”

Stage is located at 2003 North West Avenue.
