Dear Editor,

40 Days of Prayer wrap-up

I want to take a minute and thank everyone who played a role in this year’s “40 Days of Prayer” Campaign. To the City Council and the Mayor’s office for their support. To Mayor Hash for reserving the Municipal Auditorium for us (just in case we needed it). To Governor Hutchinson for the proclamation concerning the 40 Days of Prayer. To the El Dorado News-Times for printing the prayers daily and writing articles about the prayer campaign and the prayer walk (Caitlin Rigdon and Tia Lyons). To Chief Billy White and the El Dorado Police Department for directing traffic for us on the night of the Prayer Walk. To CrossLife for providing the sound system and getting it from location to location. To all who wrote a day for the guide (36 different ministry and community leaders contributed to this year’s guide). To Magen Olive for getting the guide uploaded to the “40 Days” website and FaceBook page. To all the churches who participated. To all who came out on Wednesday evening and partnered with their community to pray. Finally, to those who led prayers during the prayer walk: Cody Lain (Senior Pastor- West Side Baptist), Willie McGhee (member at Beulah Grove Baptist & city councilman), Sister Isaura Pulido & Mrs. Claudia Conti (Hispanic Christian Center/Assemblies of God), Madilyn Bonsall (sophomore at El Dorado High School & member at First Baptist), David Preston (First Baptist Church-Smackover & local director of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes), David Bush (Senior Pastor at First United Methodist Church), and Dr. Pierce Moore- (Senior Pastor at First Baptist- Cordell).

May God’s hand continue to be on this community and may we continually seek out even more ways we can come together as a community for the cause of Christ!

To God be the Glory!
