Lycus Ltd., LLC chemical manufacturing facility in El Dorado recently received a 13-year Accumulative Safety Award from the Arkansas Department of Labor, Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission and Arkansas Insurance Department, according to a news release.
The award, the release states, recognizes the 13 years employees have worked without a lost day due to workplace injury or illness. The release adds that the company employees and management implemented a comprehensive safety program to establish consistent safe working conditions and that the award recognizes the facility’s 20 employees for demonstrating the highest levels of workplace safety practices.
The award covers the period from Sept. 1, 2005, and Sept. 1, 2018. According to the release, the company manufacturers the Maxgard line of ultraviolet absorbers and is the only domestic producer of substituted benzophenone UVAs.
