Rev. Donald Bridges was born January 15, 1963 to Willie Calvin and Leola Bridges. He passed on November 1, 2018. He was a 1981 graduate of El Dorado High School and was a veteran. He was an employee of El Dorado Water Company. He pastored Friendship Baptist Church in Mt. Holly, served as assistant to pastor Rev. Barry Dobson at St. John Missionary Baptist Church and was the pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church in Harrell, Arkansas until his transition.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Survivors are his wife, Andrea Bridges of El Dorado; sons, Cornelus Bridges Sr. of Bastrop and Franco Mitchell of El Dorado; goddaughter, Jalisa Brown of El Dorado; brother, Jeffrey Bridges of Urbana; grandchildren, Cornelus Bridges Jr, Darrius, Jaquarius and Tyquarius Scott all of Bastrop; sister/cousin, Brenda Philson of Arkadelphia; brother/cousin, Raymond Murrian, god-sister, Letitia Butler.
Public visitation will be Friday, November 9, 2018 from 1-4pm at Sims Mortuary with the family hour Friday, November 9, 2018 from 6-7pm at First Baptist Church Harrell.
