Honored: The Division Services of the Blind of the Department of Health Services honored Larry Woods (seated center) during a recognition ceremony Thursday. Family, friends and colleagues gather to honor Woods, who lost most of his vision due to complications with glaucoma. Woods graduated from South Arkansas Community College this spring. Jessie Foster, vocational rehabilitation counselor of DSB, said that against all odds with God, family support and DBS, he made it.” During SouthArk’s student recognition ceremony, Woods received an outstanding academic student award. He also was inducted in to the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.
