Hospital visit: Gov. Asa Hutchinson and state Rep. Matthew Shepherd visit with CEO Scott Street and the administrative team at Medical Center of South Arkansas on Wednesday where they were updated on the multimillion dollar MCSA facility renovation plan, which began this week. The renovation is a part of the overall goal labeled “Destination Healthcare” — MCSA’s commitment to strengthening health care services in South Arkansas. MCSA’s recent alliance with Arkansas Heart Hospital was the first strategic step in “Destination Healthcare” collaborations to enhance the range of health care opportunities and better meet the health needs of the communities served across the region. Hutchinson and Shepherd also met the MCSA Nursing Directors during a tribute to National Nurses Day.
