MAX A. WILLETT

Max Allen Willett, 77, of Junction City, Louisiana; died on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Alpine Rehabilitation in Ruston, Louisiana. He was born on Feb. 6, 1941, to Arthur Max and Violet Brasher Willett in El Dorado.

He was a graduate of Smackover High School and served in the Army Reserve. Max was owner and operator of Willett Welding Services and was of the Baptist faith. He was a humble man that lived his life by example and he enjoyed fishing and squirrel hunting.

Max was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 48 years Lila Clawson Willett; and brother, David Willett.

Survivors include a son, Brad Allen Willett of Simsboro, Louisiana; a daughter, Dr. Lacey Willett Matthews (Dustin) of Little Rock; and two brothers, Bob Willett, and Joe Willett (Nancy) both of Lisbon.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018 at Young’s.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Young’s Chapel with the Rev. Steve Pelz officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery near Smackover under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
