Gordon R. Johnson, 82, of El Dorado, passed away, Friday, March 2, 2018, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado.
He was born Aug. 9, 1935 to James Ray Johnson and Pat LeMoine Johnson in Urbana. Gordon always bragged about being born in a tent in Urbana. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Preceding him in death are his parents; and wife, Martha Overstreet Johnson; and brothers, Buddy Johnson (Wanda), and Everett Johnson.
Survivors include his niece Sonya S. Stookey of El Dorado; great niece, Rhiannon Massery (Kevin) of Greenbrier; and their children, Kiahlee, Isabella, Kaleb, and Kade Massery.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Burns Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
