LOLA J. LAMBERT

Lola Juanita (Bowman) Lambert, 92, of Norphlet, AR, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born on December 9, 1925 in Smackover, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Earl and Nannie Moore Bowman. Juanita was an example of a truly virtuous woman. She had an unwavering devotion to God and family. In her early years, she faced the loss of her mother when she was 16 and assumed the role of caregiver for her siblings. After she married the love of her life, she began her lifelong devotion to and care of her young family. She raised her children to believe and trust in Jesus and held fast to her belief that God was to be the most important thing in their lives. Although during her entire adult life she never had a job outside the home, you could see from a very early age she was taking care or her family, which became the job of a lifetime. She taught her children and family to be faithful in church attendance and always show that belief and trust in Jesus was the most important thing they could ever do. Every Sunday she prepared lunch for as many as 16-20 family members and guests without ever missing a day of church. She taught by example how to treat others with respect, serve others in church, school and community. She was a member of Norphlet United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school, was a member of United Methodist Women, Norphlet Civic Club and was a recipient of the Norphlet Citizen of the Year Award.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 60 years, Murray Lambert, an infant grandson, Samuel Jason Lambert, her brothers, Lee Bowman, Bud Bowman, one sister, Nan Stanley.
