New owners of The Olde Towne Store have no plans to change anything

As new owners of The Olde Towne Store, Greg and Kelli Harrison said they have no plans to change anything.

The Olde Towne Store, which has been a staple in El Dorado for over 35 years, announced its new owners Saturday, after 11 years of being owned by Rob and Tammy Ballard.

Rob Ballard described the announcement as bittersweet and said he is excited for the Harrisons and “wishes them the best of luck.”

“It’s bittersweet for us but Tammy is excited because it has kind of tied her down more for the last 11 years than it has me,” Ballard said. “We’re just ready for a new phase of life.”

On May 6, The Olde Towne Store posted on social media that the store was for sale, which is how the Harrisons found out about it.

“We’ve always been big fans and it’s one of our favorite places to go to, so it’s an honor to be able to own it,” Kelli Harrison said.

Greg Harrison said that with their lifestyle, it would be hard to start a business up from scratch.

“It’s already rocking and rolling, we don’t have to come up with an idea and the timing of everything was right,” Kelli Harrison added.

Greg Harrison said they may possibly add on to the store in the future. Kelli Harrison noted that they would also like to add new products.

Kelli Harrison said she’s looking forward to the challenge and getting back involved with the community.

Greg Harrison said they are open to any suggestions the community has, and their doors are always open.

“Right now, it’s exciting and we’re definitely blessed to have this opportunity to be able to transition into this new role,” Greg Harrison said.
