DeAnna Tracy will be the speaker when Rotary Club meets at noon Monday at St. Mary’s Parish Hall.

Tracy is the director of South Arkansas Community College’s ACAP program.

The ACAP (Academic and Career Achievement Program) program is designed for individuals who have Intellectual Disbilities (ID) or Developmental Disabilities (DD), and who can benefit from the community college experience.

It is a custom-tailored learning program that offers students a unique post-secondary opportunity to further their formal education and become self-reliant.The ultimate goal of the ACAP program is to allow students with special needs to have an inclusive college experience by attending classes, abiding by college rules, participating in college activities, clubs, and events, all while preparing for gainful employment after graduating from the program.

Cast members from Singin’ in the Rain will perform selections from the musical hit when the Kiwanis Club meets at noon Wednesday at the South Arkansas Arts Center.

The play, set in the early days of talkies in Hollywood is The Arts Center’s summer musical.
