A plethora of standouts from Union County will get the opportunity to partake in the Arkansas High School Coaches Association All-Star Games, which get underway today and continue Saturday in Conway.

Luis Torres and Meredith Coan will represent El Dorado's soccer teams for one last performance today, while El Dorado's Darius Holly and Mon-Trae Marshall are members of the West All-Stars for Saturday's football game.

In addition to the quartet of El Dorado standouts, three cheerleaders will also participate in the festivities as members of the East All-Stars cheer squad.

Smackover's Stormy Anders, who was also an All-State selection, as well as Junction City's Alyssa Anderson and Morgan Butler were tabbed as All-Stars.

In aiding the Lady Wildcats to the state quarterfinals, Coan anchored the defense and earned All-Conference honors.

She was the recipient of the team's leadership award and made 67 starts during her career.

Torres, a striker for the Wildcats, was one of the team's most dangerous weapons.

Overall, Torres scored 23 goals for the Wildcats during the 2018 season.

On the gridiron, Holly earned All-State honors as the Wildcats' quarterback.

He completed 123-of-190 passes for 2,308 yards with 22 touchdowns and just five interceptions. He also rushed for 430 yards and eight touchdowns.

While Holly engineered the offense, Marshall was the ringleader of the Wildcats' defense.

A linebacker, Marshall led the team with 122 tackles, including two sacks with two interceptions. Marshall, who will play collegiately at Henderson State, returned one of those interceptions for a touchdown.

Like Holly, Marshall was an All-State selection.

Today, the All-Star Games for baseball, softball, girls soccer, boys soccer and volleyball will be held. On Saturday, the All-Star Games for girls and boys basketball along with football will take place.

All games are being held at Central Arkansas.
