FRANK S. BURTON

Frank Scott Burton, age 60, went to fish the river of life, on June 8, 2018, in Wailea, Hawaii.

He spent his last days on earth enjoying time with his wife of 38 years, Julia Buchanan Burton. He was born on Jan. 11, 1958, in Little Rock, to Lyla Dunnavant Burton and the late Frank Charles Burton. He was the father to daughter Emily Burton Pennington and husband Andy Pennington of Conway, and son Brandon Burton and wife Molly Burton of Hot Springs. He was the best “Poppy” to Brooks “Bean” and Presley “Peanut” Pennington of Conway, and Kate “Ladybug” and soon to be Cooper Burton of Hot Springs. He was the brother to Pam Burton Warren and husband Les Warren of Hot Springs and Clay Burton and wife Kristi Mitchell Burton of El Dorado. All his nieces and nephews will deeply miss their “Uncle Scott”. He intentionally loved each of them with a genuine and caring heart.

Scott graduated from Norphlet High School in 1976. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Southern Arkansas University in 1981. Scott was a member of College Avenue Church of Christ and served as a deacon for many years.

Scott was an avid outdoorsman and loved time with his family. He lived his life as an example of a great servant leader, hard worker, and gave selflessly to others. He is definitely gone too soon and his passing will forever leave a hole in our hearts and lives.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Young’s.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2018, at College Avenue Church of Christ with Kent Jobe officiating. A private family burial will be under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Memorials may be given in lieu of flowers to a charity and/or ministry of your choice in memory of Scott Burton.

An online guest registry will be available at www.youngsfuneralhome.com.
