Life Touch Hospice announces Advisory Committee chairs

Life Touch Hospice has announced Ken Kelley as chair of the Advisory Committee and Cathey Griffin as vice-chair.

Kelley is president and CEO of ProMed Ambulance and is a well-known member of the Arkansas EMS community, having enjoyed a more than three-decade career as a paramedic, educator and emergency manager.

In addition to leading his own team, Kelley enjoyed a long career in EMS education and is the retiring professor of emergency medical technology at South Arkansas Community College where he was the program director for 28 years.

Kelley was also appointed by Gov. Asa Hutchinson to serve on the Governor’s EMS Advisory Council.

He is active in many local charitable organizations and works to support programs such as Life Touch Hospice, having served on the Life Touch Community Advisory Board since 2013.

Griffin is an advocate for families who are dealing with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. She has worked closely with the Alzheimer’s Association Arkansas Chapter and served as an ambassador for former U.S. Rep. Mike Ross for six years.

Griffin was appointed by former Gov. Mike Beebe to the Task Force on the Effects of Alzheimer’s Disease in Arkansas.

Griffin was the caregiver for her father who had Alzheimer’s and passed away in 2015.

She is co-chairing the first ever Walk to End Alzheimer’s that will be held Sept. 22 in the Murphy Arts District.
