Lady Dragons fall short at Fordyce

FORDYCE - A poor second quarter proved to be the downfall for Junction City's senior girls, who fell at Fordyce 58-46 on Monday. The Lady Dragons dropped to 9-10 overall and 1-2 in league play.

Junction City led 17-14 after one quarter but was outscored 20-4 in the second and trailed 34-21 at the intermission.

Jada Archie led the Lady Dragons with 18 points. Bryanna Raye scored 12 with Keyanna Ross and Taykeetria Rogers contributing nine and seven, respectively.

Fordyce won the junior girls game 34-14. Tori McLelland and Leslie Reddick led the Lady Dragons with seven and six, respectively.

Junction City travels to Lake Village tonight.

Hamburg 56,

Smackover 47

HAMBURG - Hamburg's Tianna Wilson scored 31 points to lead the Lady Lions past the Lady Bucks on Monday.

Sharnes McGhee and Jordyn White led Smackover with 15 points apiece. Camree Jones chipped in with nine.

Smackover goes to Drew Central today.

Hampton 40,

Parkers Chapel 28

HAMPTON - The Lady Trojans struggled offensively and fell at Hampton on Monday. Parkers Chapel slipped to 6-12 on the season.

Camron Partain led the Lady Bulldogs with 14 points.

Terri Malone scored 19 points to lead the Lady Trojans. T.K. Burson contributed eight.

Parkers Chapel scored just five first-quarter points but still led 16-15 at the half.

Hampton outscored the Lady Trojans 10-6 in the third and 12-8 in the fourth.

PC hosts Harmony Grove today, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
