Several members of the El Dorado Police Department will be recognized for their accomplishments and contributions to the community when the Kiwanis club meets at noon Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church.

Madeleine Leroux will be the guest speaker when the El Dorado Rotary Club meets at noon Monday at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Fellowship Hall.
Leroux is the managing editor of the El Dorado News-Times, a position she’s held for about seven months. A native of Chicago, she has lived in small, medium and large communities in Illinois, Missouri and now Arkansas reporting and editing for local newspapers. She came to El Dorado this past summer, along with her boyfriend of seven years and a very spoiled cat, Millie.
