JUNCTION CITY - Junction City recorded a split in non-conference play on Thursday night, as the Dragons topped England 56-40, but the Lady Dragons fell 61-28.

The Dragons evened their record at 6-6 by pulling away from the Lions in the second quarter.

Leading 13-8 after the opening stanza, the Dragons extended their lead to 30-15 at intermission.

Junction City led 42-26 after three periods before winning by the final margin.

Jerrodney Tubbs had 11 points for the Dragons, while Dhante Gibson had nine points and Jalen Davis finished with eight points.

In the girls game, the Lady Lions jumped out to a 16-7 lead after the opening period before pulling away to lead 33-15 at intermission.

England led 54-25 after three periods of play.

Jada Archie had eight points to pace the Lady Dragons.

Bryanna Raye added seven points, while Keyanna Ross added six points and Kenslee McLelland finished with five points for Junction City.

Junction City will play their fourth game in five nights when they host Hamburg tonight.

WEST SIDE CHRISTIAN COLLECTS HOME SWEEP

West Side Christian delivered a sweep against Glenbrook (La.) on Thursday.

The Lady Warriors picked up their first win over Glenbrook with a 43-40 triumph.

Olivia Voss paced the Lady Warriors (15-3) with 14 points.

Lauren Land was also in double figures with 13 points and Hannah Miller chipped in with 10 points in the win.

In the nightcap, West Side Christian completed the sweep with a 57-42 win.

Stephfan Tabe had 21 points for the Warriors (14-6).

Zachary Scriber had 13 points and Viraj Vora added 11 points for West Side Christian.

In the junior girls game, West Side Christian fell 35-20.

Daisy Tabe had all 20 points for the Lady Warriors (2-4).

In the junior boys game, West Side Christian was downed 44-41.

Zackley Pearson had 14 points and Ashton Yarbrough added 12 points for the Warriors (11-4).

PARKERS CHAPEL JUNIOR GIRLS PICK UP VICTORY

PARKERS CHAPEL - Good free-throw shooting guided Parkers Chapel's junior girls past Emerson 28-18.

Drue Thomas had 13 points for the Lady Trojans (7-4).

Thomas sank five of her six free-throw attempts in the game, including 3-of-4 in the fourth quarter.

Ali Looney was also in double figures with 12 points.

Looney was 10-of-15 from the charity stripe in the game, and was a perfect 6-for-6 in the final stanza.

EL DORADO FRESHMEN RALLY FOR ROAD VICTORY

HOT SPRINGS - James Hartsfield III had 21 points, as El Dorado's freshman boys rallied to top Hot Springs 48-38.

Jarmel Love had 11 points and Isaiah Ramey finished with six points for the Wildcats, who trailed 29-26 at intermission before rallying to take a 39-33 lead after three periods of play.

BARTON 8TH-GRADE BOYS WIN ON ROAD

HOT SPRINGS - Jackie Washington had 18 points, as Barton's eighth-grade boys basketball team knocked off Hot Springs 28-25.

Overall, five players scored for the Wildkittens, who improved their record to 8-6.
