Lady Dragons down Prescott

FORDYCE - Junction City's Lady Dragons claimed the No. 3 seed Saturday, beating Prescott 59-51 in the 3A Region 4 Tournament at Fordyce. The Lady Dragons will meet Bald Knob Thursday at 4 p.m. in the 3A State Tournament, hosted by Drew Central in Monticello.

Junction City jumped out to a 12-6 lead after one quarter and was up 30-20 at the half. The margin was 44-33 going into the fourth. The Lady Wolves cut the deficit to six in the final quarter but the Lady Dragons pulled away at the free throw line.

Camya Hamilton and Taykeetria Rogers scored 17 points apiece to lead the Lady Dragons. Hamilton added six rebounds and four assists. Rogers notched four rebounds and four assists. Jada Archie scored 12 with seven boards. Jhonda Webster scored 10 points with five rebounds.

Lacie Nolen led Prescott with 31 points.
