BETTY H. KIMBALL

Betty Josephine Hull Kimball departed this world on Feb. 22, 2018, at the age of 85 to be with the Lord. Betty died peacefully at her home in Georgetown, Texas, among her family that loved her dearly.

Betty was born on June 5, of 1932 in McCamey, Texas, to the parents of James Maxie Hull and Hazel Marie Hull and was born the third of eight siblings; James Maxie Junior (called Buddy), Louise, Boyd, Patsy, Charles, Connie, and Johnny. Betty grew up in Baytown, Texas where she met and married her husband Tommy Kimball on April 16, Good Friday of that year in 1954. Although Betty worked for Humble Refinery for 10 years, her greatest position was as a preacher’s wife. Tommy and Betty lived in Fort Worth, Texas for eight years while serving Trinity Baptist church, six years in Pasadena, Texas while serving South Avenue Baptist Church. The majority of their service was at Immanuel Baptist Church from 1977 to 1992 while living in El Dorado, from 1977 – 2011 during which the remainder of their time they served at various interim positions to include a Wick’s Lane Baptist Church in Billings, Montana, and Three Creeks Baptist Church located in Three Creeks. Betty’s last years were spent with Tommy while they lived with their daughter and son-in-law.

Betty loved the lord and served in many various capacities in the church to include teaching Sunday School and leading or singing in the choir. Her hospitality was enjoyed by many; she always had a smile to offer, willing to serve when needed, and was known for her optimism by one of her favorite sayings – “it could happen”.

Betty is survived by her husband, Tommy Kimball, who would have celebrated 64 years of marriage with his loving wife this April. Betty was the beloved mother of Rhonda Kay Rodriguez and Mother-In-Law to Joseph R. Rodriguez. Cherished grandmother of Jessica M. Jones (wife of Christopher Jones), Matthew B. Rodriguez (husband to Kaci Rodriguez), and Elizabeth Rodriguez. Loving Great-Grandmother of Evan Jones, Adalyn Jones, Kaitlynn Jones, Brianna Rodriguez, and Alexus Rodriguez. Adored sister by Boyd Hull and Johnny Hull.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church located at 701 South West Avenue, in El Dorado, AR, 71730. Funeral services will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018 at 10 a.m.

Opening prayer will be offered by Brother Jimmy Meeks, the message will be given by Gary Glasgow, and the music provided by Bobby Endel and Alan Gober. Pallbearers are Tom Loftin, A.V. Beebe, Chester New, Ruben Carter, Joe Rodriguez, and Johnny Hull.

The graveside service will be held at the cemetery located directly behind Three Creeks Baptist Church located at 8772 Haynesville Hwy, Junction City, AR 71749 with a reception following.
