HOPE - Joderrio Ramey led three players in double figures with 17 points, as El Dorado rallied past Hope 52-47 in a 5A-6A District 6 contest on Tuesday night.

Earlier in the evening, the Lady Wildcats cruised to a 49-26 victory over Hope.

The Wildcats led 36-27 after three quarters of play, but the Bobcats fought back to take the lead.

However, Brendan Simmons and B.J. Johnson came up big down the stretch.

Simmons scored on a putback after getting an offensive rebound, and Johnson helped seal the victory from the free-throw line.

Both Simmons and Johnson finished with 13 points for the Wildcats (12-13, 9-6).

In the girls game, Kierra Boone scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Lady Wildcats. El Dorado improved to 11-12 on the season.

“Kierra Boone played a really good game. She dominated the block and played an overall, complete game,” said El Dorado coach Destinee Rogers.

“I’m also proud of Diamond Hawthorne. When Diamond is rebounding the ball they way she did tonight, we’ll be tough to beat. Grace Murry played with confidence.”

Hawthorne scored nine points with 11 rebounds.

Murry and Tasia Richardson each scored six points.

El Dorado hosts Magnolia Thursday in their regular season finale.
