House fire: Members of the El Dorado Fire Dept. assist Fair Crest, Parkers Chapel, and Old Union volunteer fire departments to contain a house fire at 110 Pine Crest Road near the intersection with Hwy 167. The fire, which is still under investigation, was noticed when homeowner Frank Wilson noticed flames while feeding the family pet before preparing to watch Super Bowl LII. “I was feeding my dog when I saw flames and called immediately,” says Wilson. According to EFD Asst. Chief Justin Murphree, units responded after a call came in at 2:19 p.m. El Dorado provided several engines to support tanker trucks.
