Trojans pick up road victory at Emerson

EMERSON - Eleven players scored, as Parkers Chapel knocked off Emerson 69-56 in a Class 1A-2A District 15 contest Tuesday.

Nate Garrett-Evans led the Trojans (21-3, 12-1) with 17 points.

Dawson Goodwin was also in double figures with 11 points.

Canon Morgan added eight points and J.T. Phelps finished with six points in the win.

The Trojans got out of the gates quickly by taking a 21-7 lead after the opening period.

The Trojans led 44-22 at intermission and 58-39 after three periods of play before winning by the final margin.

"We got a chance to let our young guys play a lot, and they looked really good offensively," said Parkers Chapel coach Josh Langley. "I think they got a chance to show some people how good the future could look for us down the road."
