Local Habitat for Humanity Chapter Accepting Homeowner Applications

The El Dorado chapter of Habitat for Humanity is now accepting applications for a home to be built in the Askew Addition Property, off of East Hillsboro Street in El Dorado.

To qualify to apply for the home buyer program, a household must be in need of simple, decent and affordable housing; able to afford a monthly house payment of about $300; willing to partner with Habitat by helping to build other people’s homes as well as your own, and reside in or commute to a job within Union County for at least a year.

The application will contain information about other documents and homeowner requirements.

Applications are available at the Habitat Office, room 319 of the First Financial Bank Building located at 214 N. Washington Street in El Dorado.

Applications will be accepted from Friday until Sept. 7.

Applications may be returned to the office by placing it in the door slot or by mailing to P.O. Box 1447, El Dorado, AR 71731.
