The Bottle Rockets to play the Griffin Restaurant

The Bottle Rockets are set to play in El Dorado this week, performing at the Griffin Restaurant’s Thursday Night Live.

The St. Louis-based band is known as roots-rock or alt-country and has been performing for more than two decades. According to a news release, the group’s “smartly crafted lyrics combine with classic snarling rock guitars to transport audiences.” The group has put out 12 albums and were once called “perhaps the most underappreciated roots-rock/Americana band of the mid-’90s” by the Hollywood Reporter.

“Throughout their career, the Bottle Rockets have managed to stay true to the rabid music heads as well as casual dial-turning everybodies,” the release stated. “Against the odds, the Bottle Rockets are a true American success story. El Dorado is about to find out.”

The performance, set for 8 p.m. Thursday at the Griffin Restaurant in the Murphy Arts District, is free. For more information, visit eldomad.com.
