Jim Karrh will be the speaker when the Kiwanis Club meets at noon Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church.

In our increasingly noisy world, Jim Karrh helps businesses break through the noise and grow—through more effective and consistent customer conversations.

Too many professionals today are missing out. They have a lot to offer—but their message isn’t right, or they lack enough messengers to share it, or the entire process seems unmanageable.

Jim Karrh offers clients his experience as a consumer researcher, corporate marketing leader, and now consultant, speaker, and coach. Jim has served clients on three continents including associations, small businesses, high-growth tech firms, North America’s largest martial-arts organization, and ten members of the Fortune 500.

You might know Jim from his long-running marketing column in Arkansas Business, or his time as marketing leader of Mountain Valley Spring Company. During that time, Mountain Valley’s marketing and public relations program was judged best in the global bottled-water industry.

Jim has an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, along with bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from the University of Florida. But Jim also knows you don’t have to be a Ph.D., a professional speaker, an extrovert, or a brilliant conversationalist to bring your own business story to life. You just need to follow a process he calls “Managing Your Message.”

Anna Beth Gorman will be the speaker when the Rotary Club meets at noon Monday at Buffet Palace restaurant in front of Walmart.

Anna Beth joined the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas as Executive Director in April 2016. Prior to taking on this role, she served as Chief Membership Volunteer Program Officer at the Girl Scouts Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.

In her tenure with the Women’s Foundation she is leading the effort for the Foundation to be the leading equity partner in building women’s economic security. The Foundation has two signature initiatives, Girls of Promise and Women Empowered. Girls of Promise focus of work is ensuring that girls in Arkansas are being introduced, nurtured, and supported in pursuing education and career paths in emerging occupations focused on science, technology, engineering, and math. The goal of Women Empowered is to strengthen the economic worth and well-being of women in Arkansas.

Anna Beth was chosen as one of the 2017 Women to Watch in Little Rock’s Soiree Magazine, and has been named as a finalist in Arkansas Business’ Nonprofit Executive of the Year. She regularly speaks to civic groups, public, and private organizations on the benefits of strategically including women in the economic development of our state.
