Educator's breakfast: As part of the New Educators Breakfast, organized by the El Dorado-Union County Chamber of Commerce, incoming teachers were greeted with swag bags and words of encouragement from Little Rock Police Officer Tommy Norman (above). Norman is known as the ‘Social Media Cop’ for his efforts to use videos of him joking around with members of the community. Teacher of the year awards were also given out at the breakfast. Jonna Bates (pictured) from Smackover-Norphlet, Dr. Sterling Claypoole from South Arkansas Community College, Lisa Voss from West Side Christian School and Melissa Inman from El Dorado were recognized with Teach of the Year Awards.
