El Dorado’s Autumn Seemann scored four goals Wednesday as the Lady Wildcats’ soccer team poured it on Hot Springs to the tune of 11-0 at the El Dorado Soccer Complex.

The Lady Wildcats led 9-0 at the intermission and played the second half via the mercy rule 20 minutes.

El Dorado, which improved to 12-2 overall, dominated possession, keeping the ball on its own half of the field throughout the match.

The Lady Wildcats peppered a pair of goalkeepers with shots from all angles and depths before going on a scoring spree, notching five goals in a seven-minute span late in the first half.

“Shoot for the corners,” said Seemann, when asked for the offensive strategy. Despite the offensive output, she insisted the performance was nothing special.

“No, it was just a good game. We played our game,” she said. “Just passing the ball and playing fast.”

El Dorado opened the scoring at the 34:02 mark when Autumn Parker blasted a shot into the net from about 30 yards out.

Cami Lowery followed with a steal in front of the goal and a shot high over the goalkeeper with 25:15 left in the half.

Next was Emma Robinson’s turn. She slid into a shot on her left knee and shot with her right foot from the right flank, angling it past the keeper and into the left corner of the goal at the 19-minute mark.

The Lady Wildcats would go scoreless over the next 12 minutes although they had a couple near misses.

In particular, Hannah McAllister dribbled through a crowd of defenders before slipping a pass backward to Aida Olmos, who blasted a shot off the crossbar.

El Dorado would find the back of the net at the 7:17 mark when Seemann scooped up a loose ball from just outside the 18 and fired it low past the keeper. Seemann’s next goal would come about a minute later when she knocked in a rebound that richocheted off the keeper.

Madi Bonsall got in on the act when her shot glanced off the keeper’s hands and into the net, pushing the lead to 6-0 with 3:39 left in the half.

Less than a minute later, Seemann recorded her hat trick with a blast from straight away. Lowery scored again in the waning seconds of the half before Seemann added a goal during stoppage time for a 9-0 halftime lead.

The second half went quickly for the Lady Wildcats, who got goals from Gemma Navarro and Ellis Parker for the final margin.
