The Brick House will be bringing some R&B flavor to El Dorado tonight with a performance by singer-rapper-songwriter J. Holiday.
Doors open at 10:30 p.m. and the show starts later, said promoter Mike Jackson, of Mr. Mike’s Productions. Also performing tonight at the Brick House, 1814 Junction City Road, will be G-Money and D-Rone.
A $200 cash prize will also be awarded to the patron wearing the “sexiest dress.”
As a performer, Holiday is perhaps best known for his 2007 breakthrough hit single, “Bed,” a sensuous ballad that reached the number five spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
The song was released on Holiday’s debut album, “Back of My Lac,” which peaked at number five on the U.S. Billboard 200 and was nominated for a Grammy Award.
The Washington D.C. native, born Nahum Thorton Grimes, has released three albums and has also been nominated for an American Music Award, NAACP Image Award and BET Award.
