Several El Dorado city officials have maintained their certification and status with the Arkansas Municipal League.

Mayor Frank Hash, City Clerk Heather McVay and Alderman Dianne Hammond graduated from the AML Voluntary Certified Continuing Education Program.

Each earned their continuing education hours and maintained their status as Certified Municipal Officials.

The trio of city officials was honored during the AML’s 2018 Winter Conference, which was held in January in Fort Smith.

Hash, McVay and Hammond joined numerous municipal officials representing cities and towns from across the state to complete 21 hours of subjects, including budgeting, personnel management and methods of effective leadership.

To maintain certification, graduates must also complete six hours of AML classes each year.

The program will continue this year with additional classes scheduled at AML North Little Rock headquarters and during the League’s Annual Convention June 13 - 15 in Little Rock.

Hash is a member of the AML Executive Committee and Hammond serves on the League’s Advisory Council for large, first-class cities.
