Dollie Rachel Hill Tittle, 85 years of age, passed away peacefully at her home in Cleburne, Texas on Tuesday April 10, 2018. Born on February 23, 1933 in El Dorado, Arkansas, Dollie is the daughter of Tom Monroe Hill and Vida Bell Carelock.

Dollie grew up in El Dorado and was a product of the Arkansas public school system. Upon graduation from high school, she attended and graduated from Warner Brown School of Nursing. Students attended the three-year residential program year-round. Dollie always had fond memories of the school and said, “We lived at the school; we lived and breathed nursing. We were very well trained because the nuns were extremely demanding and required us to excel.” Near the end of nursing school, Dollie met the love of her life— Ross Tittle. They were married at First Assembly of God Church–El Dorado in 1954. Married 46 years, they raised four children together. Dollie and Ross settled in Houston in the early 1960’s. She worked as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years and at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center over 30 years.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her loving husband, Ross Tittle; and sisters: Hila Hill, Alverta Hubbard, Vera Murphy, Cleo White, Lorice Hill, and Cleta Faye Perdue. Those left to cherish her memory are her four children: Denzial Tittle of Houston, Gary Tittle of Houston, Brenda Tittle Lohse of Cleburne, TX, and Stephen Tittle of Austin; In-Laws/family: Kay Tittle of Houston, Becky Tittle of Houston, Ronald Wollard of Cleburne, and Kiran Dix of Austin; grandchildren: Amber Beamer and Nick, Jim Tittle and Megan, Andy Tittle, Sondra Lohse, Daniel Tittle, and Zachary Tittle. Dollie was blessed to have four great-grandchildren: Ayla, Cozy, Nolia, and Amelia. She is also survived by her sister Florice White, and brother Thomas Hill, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as Pallbearers are her sons, grandsons and family.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend, Charles Hill officiating. Interment will be in Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
