New Eastside Baptist Church: Will celebrate Annual Youth Day at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church, 1316 North MLK Blvd., El Dorado. Anthony Traylor, pastor. Springhill Baptist Church: The Springhill Baptist Church will hold fundraisers Saturday at Walmart and Mac’s Fresh Market in El Dorado, selling baked goods and raffle tickets for a lawnmower. Come out and support our fundraising efforts.

New Home Baptist Church: Musical Appreciation to be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, at the church, 1616 New Hope Road, Junction City. Guest choir, New Rev. Charles Coleman, pastor. Theme will be “O come, let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation” Psalm 95.

Saint James Baptist Church: Annual Brotherhood Celebration will be held at 2 p.m. April 29 at the church, 608 Dr. MLK Blvd. Bishop Dr. George Calloway, Jr., pastor. Special guest will be the Rev. New Providence Baptist Church of Norphlet: Will celebrate their Annual Youth Day at 11 a.m. Sunday at the church. The Rev. Dominic Mayweather, Associate Minister of the Hickory Ridge Baptist Church, Camden, will deliver the morning message. Everyone is invited to help celebrate this occasion. Ouachita District Association: Women’s Department will host its Annual Program; Men and Women in Black and White, to benefit the Arkansas Baptist College of Little Rock at 6 p.m. April 21 at New Hope Baptist Church of Mt. Holly with host Pastor Rev. Jerry Miller.

The 4th annual “A Walk for Christ” event will be held at 2 p.m. April 22. Participants should start showing up between 1:15-1:30 p.m. to sign in and get packets. Mayor Frank Hash will do a proclamation regarding the walk, and the Prayer and Balloon Release will follow. The walk will begin at 2 p.m., with the El Dorado Police Department escorting us down North West Avenue, and someone at each intersection blocking traffic.

The walk will begin at Northwest Shopping Center, in front of the Old Walgreens parking lot, and end at the El Dorado Boys and Girls Club parking lot. Tables will be set up to sign in and packets with crosses and bracelets will be given out to all participants.

Ellery Paliculit, Payten Tompkins, Morgan Willis, Molly and Emily Housdan will make up the band playing percussion and horns instruments during the walk. All walkers will be singing along with the music during the walk. A 12-foot wooden cross (donated by Joe and Leigh Glass) will be carried by walkers. A tent and tables will be set up with water and fruit in the parking lot of El Dorado Boys and Girls Club for everyone. For anyone needing a ride back to North Village Shopping Center, transportation will be provided.

Snow Hill Baptist Church of Smackover: The Mass Choir will be celebrating their annual day at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. Guest church will be Mt. Tabor of Fordyce and Pastor Kenneth Juniel will bring the message. Everyone is invited to come and be blessed by this gala annual day.

Moro Bay Baptist Church: The Second Saturday Night Singing will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at the church. The group, Joyful Spirit, will be the featured singers. A potluck meal will be served at 5 p.m. Bro. Joe McClelland, pastor, gives an invitation to everyone to attend.
