Proclamaition: Union County Judge Mike Loftin proclaimed April 9 through April 13 as “Relay For Life days in the city of El Dorado.” Various Relay For Life committee members and sponsors gathered Monday on the east side of the Union County Courthouse to hear the proclamation and participate in a balloon release. Relay For Life of Union County 2018 Relay is set for 6:30 p.m. Friday on Elm Street in downtown El Dorado. Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and funds that are raised are used for cancer research and to support those living with cancer. Luminary bags may be purchased at the relay in memory of a loved one. The Union County Relay will be free and open to the public.
