Funeral for Lou Nell Smith Griffith, 75, of Farmerville, Louisiana, will be held at 10 a.m. on Sat-urday, Sept. 30, 2017 at the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, with Bro. Allen Grimmett officiating.
Interment will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery, Taylortown, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Lou Nell was born on Jan. 3, 1942 in Spearsville, Louisiana and passed away on Sept. 28, 2017 in Farmerville. She was a member of Blanchard Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed singing, cooking, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Lucille Smith; brother, William Smith; sister, Jeannie Taylor; and great-grandson, Dalton James Hawkins.
Survivors include her husband, James Griffith of Farmerville; son, Max Hawkins (Sharon); daughters, Bonnie Bracknell (Tim) and Pamela Griffith (Ismeal Calvillo); three granddaughters, Jennifer Halley, Ryan Nolan, and Felicia Kimmerling; five grandsons, Nathan Hawkins, Steven Thurston, Kristopher Kimmerling, Zach Hawkins, and Eric Calvillo; 12 great-grandchildren, Danielle, Samantha, Lyric, Lily, Jorja-Kate, Daniel, Jackson, Jacob, Justice, Bryce, Avery, and Kinley; and sisters, Joyce Griffith (Bobby) and Shirley Martindale (Wayne).
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. today at Kilpatrick Funeral Home.
