PAMELA B. MARIETTA

Pamela Borchardt Marietta, 63, of El Dorado,passed away Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 at MD Anderson Hospital after a seven-month battle with cancer.

She was born Nov. 27, 1953 in Glendale, Arizona, to Victor and Ruby Krone Borchardt. Pamela was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in El Dorado. She taught elementary school in Woodville and Jasper, Texas for 33 years before retiring in 2008. In recent years, she served her community, volunteering at local charitable organizations, enjoying time with her five grandchildren, and roaming the roads antiquing.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Steve Marietta of El Dorado; daughters, Hannah Cobb and her husband, Bradley, of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Cameron Bisbey and her husband, Blake, of Keller, Texas; grandchildren, Emory, Cason and Eli Cobb of Nacogdoches, Texas, Noah Smith and Madison Bisbey of Keller, Texas; brother, Victor Borchardt II and his wife, Pauletta, of Clinton, Tennessee; mother-in-law, Alpha Marietta of Crockett, Texas; sisters-in-law, Shirley Marietta of Spring, Texas and Linda Marietta of Sebastopol, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Ruby Borchardt.

The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. today, followed by a graveside service at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery in Houston, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church in El Dorado, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 p.m.
