PAUL R. MITCHELL
Paul R. Mitchell, 84, of El Dorado, AR, died on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Timberlane Health and Rehabilitation. Born on June 5, 1933 in Camden, AR; he was the son of Lutch Mitchell and Annie Robertson Mitchell.
Paul was a member of The First United Methodist Church of El Dorado where he sang in the choir. He retired after 37 years from Lion Oil Pipeline. Paul served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict on the USS Razorback submarine. He enjoyed watching western movies and in his youth he enjoyed camping and boating. His greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, James Robertson Mitchell and Harry L. Mitchell; a sister, Vera Chamlee and his son, Brian P. Mitchell.
Survivors are his wife of 62 years, Kay Pool Mitchell; a son, Brent A. (Jill) Mitchell of El Dorado; daughters, Paula (Bobby) Bilo of El Dorado, Donna (Duane) Robinson, Karen (Doug) Griffin of Lake Charles; a sister, Betty Ann Greening; along with seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Young’s.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2017 in the Chapel of Young’s Funeral Directors with Rev. Keith Dodson officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
