“Celebrate the Holidays with the Wildcats” during El Dorado High School’s annual homecoming. Festivities will start with an alumni reception from 9 to 10 a.m. today in the El Dorado High School Commons. The Homecoming Assembly will begin at approximately 1:35 p.m. in the El Dorado High School Arena. Line-up for the homecoming parade will be from 2 to 3:15 pm at the El Dorado Municipal Auditorium with the parade beginning at 3:45 p.m.

Slik Nickel will perform for American Legion from 8 to midnight tonight at Club 10. There’s an $8 dollar cover charge for patrons over 21.

The annual Union County Master Gardeners have announced that their Sixth Annual Bulb Sale will be held from 9 a.m. until noon tomorrow at the South Arkansas Arboretum. Funds raised at the annual bulb sale will be used to fund their annual Dirt Friends Festival.

There will be carnival games with prizes and several activities with take home materials at Fall Fest Saturday scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. tomorrow at Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources in Smackover. There will not be a costume contest, but children of all ages are encouraged to wear a costume. Admission is $5 for children under 12, adults are $3. Youngsters under age 2 are free. Canadian rock band Jeans ’n Classics will join forces with the South Arkansas Symphony Orchestra for a concert celebrating the music of the Beatles at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Griffin Music Hall. Tickets ranging in price from $15 to $35 are available online at southarkansassymphony.org or by calling the box office at 870-863-4547. Student, senior and military discounts are available.

Meet Me at the Court will host its fourth annual Homemade Chili Cook-off at 2 p.m. on the basketball court in the area of Lester and Columbia. Cash prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place winners. All chili that is entered into the cook-off will be served to attendees. Food will include Frito chili pies, chili dogs, chili nachos and chili bowls. Food, beverages and admission are free. The public is invited to attend.
