Retired and Senior Volunteer Program plans dance

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) for persons ages 55 and older, will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at Champagnolle Landing Senior Center, 910 E. Fourth St., El Dorado. Music will be provided by “William & Friends.” Admission is $6 and no smoking or alcohol will be allowed.

Chance Miller and the 67s to play at Hill’s

Chance Miller and the 67s will play at 9 p.m. Friday at Hill’s Pool Hall in El Dorado. A $5 cover charge will be taken at the door.

Union County Conservation District has pecans for sale

The Union County Conservation District has received a new shipment of nuts in time for Christmas. They are from the 2017 crop year in South Georgia. Items for sale include: one-pound bag of mammoth pecan halves or pieces, $11 and five-pound bag of raw Spanish peanuts, $15. Orders may be placed by calling 870-863-8634 or at the district office at 612 N. Flenniken St. (corner of Grove and College) in El Dorado from noon until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Proceeds from the sale benefit the soil and water conservation projects the district conducts in Union County.
