Jaycees announce annual Toy Run

The El Dorado Jaycees’ annual Toy Run is scheduled at noon Dec. 9 beginning at the Arkansas Welcome Center, located at 3315 Junction City Hwy and ending at Walmart.

Participants should arrive by 11 a.m. The El Dorado Police and Fire departments; and the Arkansas National Guard will be on hand to assist.

Shoji Tabuchi to perform in El Dorado

“Christmas with Shoji” will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 9 at the El Dorado Municipal Auditorium.

Shoji Tabuchi and his family, wife Dorothy and daughter, Christina, have been performing in Branson, Missouri for years.

He plays violin and the family plays, sings and dances for the show.

MCSA, Breast Friends sponsor cancer panel

Beyond the Pink Ribbon: Living with Cancer as a Patient and as a Caregiver is an event coined as a “free, informative discussion with cancer patients, survivors and caregivers.”

Cosponsored by Breast Friends and the Medical Center of South Arkansas, presentations and a panel discussion will start at 6 p.m. Dec. 12 in MCSA Conference Room 3.
