El Dorado rolls to win at Pine Bluff

PINE BLUFF - El Dorado’s Lady Wildcats traveled to Pine Bluff Tuesday and brought home a 51-31 victory, upping their record to 2-0 on the season.

Adrianne Larry paced the Lady Wildcats with 16 points. Kierra Boone scored nine points with five rebounds and Jessica Morton contributed nine points and nine boards.

El Dorado played without the services of junior point Grace Murry, who was out with an illness.

“I was really proud of my team and their effort tonight,” said El Dorado coach Destinee Rogers.

“I am seeing improvement but, of course, we still have a ways to go until we get where we want to be. I thought K.B., Jess and Diamond did a really good job of controlling the boards.

“Adrianne stepped up huge tonight with 16 points, including two threes.”

Smackover 49,

Bearden 19

SMACKOVER - Sharnes McGhee pumped in 22 points to power the Lady Bucks past the Lady Bears.

Kaitlyn Goodwin chipped in with seven points for Smackover, which improved to 2-0 on the season.

Lyanah Nelson led Bearden with eight.

Lauren Land had 23 points for the Lady Warriors (4-1, 1-0), who won their AACS South opener.

Brooklin Pitard had seven points and Sofia Narciso added six points in the win.
