Ribbon cutting: Marn Cheng, center, a retired employee of Murphy USA, cuts the ribbon to announce that new playground equipment has been placed on the grounds at Retta Brown Elementary. Reggie Thomas started a fundraising drive and volunteered numerous hours to provide the equipment. Thomas was unable to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony Monday, so his wife, Kimberly Thomas, standing left of Cheng, Retta Brown Principal Bethanie Hale; Keri James, community relations with Murphy USA; Kristen Thomas; Lisa Hooks; El Dorado Chamber of Commerce members Jaren Books and Debbie Harbour, along with teachers and students, participated in the ribbon cutting Monday.
Thanks for playground: Kindergarten students at Retta Brown Elementary show the new playground equipment at the school and say thanks to Murphy USA employee Reggie Thomas, other Murphy USA employees, other donors and volunteers for making the new equipment possible for the school.
