Loving homes for Union County children

Adoption needs: Karen Langston, center, Union County coordinator of The CALL, a local agency that serves foster and adoptive children and families, and several Union County children who have already been adopted, stand behind 16 pairs of shoes to represent the 16 children in the county that are now ready to be adopted. The National Adoption Month ceremony on the Union County Courthouse square Monday was held to bring awareness about children in the foster system and those waiting to be adopted. Rexayn Tribble, a member of The CALL board, said last year, 17 Union County children were adopted and so far this year, 10 have been adopted.
