Keith Sisson, co-founder and chief marketing officer of Southern Airways, will be the guest speaker when the Kiwanis Club meets at noon Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church.

While living in Memphis, Tennessee, Sisson helped lead the initial launch of the airline where he played a role in everything from the marketing roll-out, brand identity, scheduling, staffing and capital fundraising.

In 2016, Southern acquired commuter airline Sun Air Express, effectively growing the operation by 400 percent overnight. With that acquisition, Sisson moved to Pittsburgh and exclusively focused in the areas of marketing, public relations and client retention.

Sisson travels weekly to different regions that have Southern operations and has become one of the corporate team’s “boots on the ground” in the field. After one-year in Pittsburgh, he and his family returned to his hometown of Biloxi, Mississippi, just in time for the birth of their first son, Jack.
