teachers to meet Wednesday
Union County retired teachers will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, El Dorado. Guest speaker will be George Hopkins, who will talk about the Arkansas Teacher Retirement System. Members are encouraged to bring a canned food item for Interfaith Help Services.
Thanksgiving community lunch planned
First Baptist Church, 620 Cordell, El Dorado, will have a Thanksgiving Community Lunch from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church, according to Dr. Pierce Moore, pastor and Janis Van Hook. Everyone is invited.
South Arkansas Caregiver Celebration set for Thursday
The South Arkansas Caregiver Celebration will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday in the El Dorado Conference Center, Murphy Hall 1, in recognition of National Family Caregiver Month – November. The free event is being sponsored by the South Arkansas Center on Aging Education Center. Refreshments will be served.
ULEAD class plans graduation ceremonies
The Union County Leadership Class IV graduation will be held from 11:30 until 1 p.m. Wednesday at the El Dorado Municipal Auditorium, 100 W. Eighth St., El Dorado.
