Phil Swofford, 71, of Hampton, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017 at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden.

He was born Feb. 27, 1946 in Banks, Arkan-sas. He was a retired logging contractor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd Swofford and Marjorie Watson Odom; wife, Sondra Gilbert Swofford; one daughter, Tina Rowland; and son-in-law, Jerrell Rowland.

He is survived by one brother, Robert Odom of Crossett; one sister, Lori Ann Odom of Banks; three grandchildren, Tommy Rowland of Hampton, Taylor Sweeney of El Dorado, and Katie Rowland of Maumelle; seven great-grandchildren, Conner Rowland and Kypton Rowland of Hampton, Ava Sweeney, Bella Sweeney, Jax Sweeney, and Case Sweeney, all of El Dorado, and Wyatt Coke of Maumelle; and his beloved pet, Bumper.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hampton First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Rickey Smith officiating. Burial will be at Union Grove Cemetery near Hampton. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce/Hampton. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net.
