Norphlet Middle School will have a Veterans Day assembly at 8:30 a.m. today in the auditorium that will involve the band and choir performing patriotic music along with some students giving patriotic readings. NMS invites veterans from around the area and have a reception in the library after the assembly.
The Smackover High School choir and band will present at a Veterans Day Assembly at 12:30 p.m. today in the Hobgood Auditorium.
Barton Junior High School’s music department and Student Council present its Veterans Day Program at 2 p.m. today in the gym. Veterans, families and friends are invited.
The El Dorado Film Festival will kick off at 5 p.m. today with a welcome party. At 7 p.m. “Last Flag Flying” will play at Stars Cinema, followed by Birthday Short Film. For more information, visit eldofilmfest.com.
The Union County Animal Protection Society (UCAPS) Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at the Lutheran Church. The meeting is open to the public.
