SILOAM SPRINGS - Angel Leveritt and Carson Henry each recorded hat tricks Thursday to help El Dorado blast West Memphis 9-0 in the 6A State Tournament.

The Lady Wildcats take on Searcy today at 10 a.m.

El Dorado led 7-0 at the half.

The second half was shortened due to the mercy rule.

After just 16 minutes of play, the Lady Wildcats had scored four goals.

After four minutes of sluggish play, senior Cross Hughes blasted a shot on the right wing after receiving a pass from Caroline Humphreys.

Minutes later, Humphreys hit the back of the net after collecting a loose ball in front of the goal to make it 2-0.

Leading Wildcat scorer, Henry, a sophomore, then found the back of the net from a direct kick 25 yards out.

El Dorado dominated possession and obtained another direct kick after the West Memphis goalie came out of the box with the ball resulting in a hand ball.

Autumn Parker came forward from her center defender position and calmly sent a rocket into the upper left hand side of the net to make it 4-0.

Leveritt was assisted by Cami Lowrey and then erupted for two more goals for a hat trick to make it 7-0 with eight minutes still remaining in the first half.

The Lady Cat defense of Landrey Harrell, Autumn Parker, Anna Dear, and Kendall Bonsall prevented any threat West Memphis tried to mount and goalie Aida Olmos never had to touch the ball in the first half. Henry added two goals in the mercy rule shortened second half for three goals in the game, the second one a ribbon from one yard after the keeper bobbled a Humphreys shot from 25 yards out on the right side.
