EL DORADO - The Smackover softball team's recent venture to Florida was a successful one, as the Lady Bucks swept Concordia Lutheran (Texas) in a pair of games.
The Lady Bucks won the first meeting 12-3 before coming away with an 8-4 win in their second encounter.
Karli Goocher led the offensive barrage in the opener by drilling a three-run homer en route to finishing 4-for-5 in the win.
Abbi Crawford was 3-for-4 with three RBIs, while Tessa Watson was 3-for-5 with an RBI and Sabrina Estridge went 3-for-4 with a double.
Lexi Gilbert finished 2-for-3 for Smackover.
Mallory Brewer was the winning pitcher, finishing with a six-hitter.
She walked two and struck out 10 while allowing just two earned runs.
In the second game, Makayla Burroughs belted a pair of home runs and drove in five runs for the Lady Bucks.
Crawford, who was 1-for-1 with a double at the plate, was the winning pitcher.
She pitched a five-hitter, walked one and struck out five.
The Lady Bucks return to action on Monday when they play at Monticello.
