City Reports

• A woman told police Sunday that a man forged a Power of Attorney document for her father. The woman said she contacted the Notary Public, and police said the official submitted a statement acknowledging that the victim was not present when the documents were notarized. A possible suspect has been identified.

• On Sunday, a woman told police that someone broke into her vehicle at her residence in the 800 block of West Elm and stole her wallet, which contained $6 cash, a debit card, Social Security card, several medical certifications and store reward cards. The woman said several receipts that belonged to her were in a ditch in an alleyway behind her residence.

• Police responded Sunday to a report of criminal mischief at Victory Church, 1432 N. West Ave. Officers said there was a large hole in a window in front of the church. The complainant provided information about a possible suspect.

• A woman reported Sunday the theft of her purse from a friend’s truck on the parking lot of the former East Main Dairy Diner, 700 E. Main. The woman said she left her purse inside the truck while she visited a friend’s house nearby. She said the purse contained her driver’s license and pre-paid debit card.

• A man reported Saturday the theft of a vehicle from his residence in the 500 block of East Block. The vehicle was described as a 1994 blue Chevrolet S-10. A suspect was identified.

• A woman told police Saturday that a man issued a terroristic threat against her. The woman described the man as her “Suga (sic) Daddy,” and she told officers that the man previously threatened her with a gun.

County Reports

• At 10:45 p.m. Monday, a woman called in a burglary and theft of property report. She told deputies that earlier, she took prescription pills and fell asleep in her house located in the 100 block of Wildwood Circle. Around this time, two men were cleaning her yard. When she awoke, she saw her front door was wide open. She frantically searched the house to see if anything was stolen. By this time, the men were gone. Some of the missing items included a car key, cell phone, laptop, and Xbox 360 gaming system.

• At 9:17 a.m. Monday, a deputy responded to a theft report at the 200 block of Scott’s Lane. The complainant said that upon arriving at his property, he saw his front lock had been cut and the gate pulled down. At his carport, a Honda generator and 12-volt battery were missing. Outside, deputies found two pairs of foot tracks and a set of vehicle tracks that were unknown to the property owner.

• At 8:24 a.m. Monday, a deputy responded to a breaking-or-entering call. A man told authorities that four trucks and two track machines were broken into last weekend. On March 16, the vehicles were left at the old rest area on U.S. 167 South. When he returned around 6:30 a.m. Monday, the man found the truck doors open with over $10,000 worth of property missing.

• At 2:06 a.m. Monday, dispatch notified a Union County Sheriff’s Office sergeant about a domestic disturbance report on the 4000 block of Chapel Hill Drive. The complainant told authorities that her boyfriend became angry, started yelling and throwing plates at her and their daughter. Prior to this incident, the complainant had a protective order against him with a visitation exception for their child. While she and the child were watching TV, the suspect began yelling at the child to leave. The complainant told him no, and he began throwing plates at both of them. She pushed him outside the house and quickly locked the door. He kicked the door in and grabbed the complainant’s wallet. Later he left the wallet at a gas station where she was able to get her wallet and debit card back, according to a sheriff’s office report. A deputy noted that the complainant had cuts on her right hand and a red mark on her upper left forearm.

• On Sunday, a sergeant spoke with a woman in Junction City who reported her bicycle was stolen from under her carport on between 4:45 a..m. and 6 p.m. on March 15. She last saw her 26-inch Huffy with a white seat under the carport with other bikes, but the Huffy was the only one taken. She couldn’t provide a serial number and wanted to file a report in case other thefts happened in the area.

• On Saturday, a deputy responded to a breaking-or-entering report in the 1500 block of Davis Drive. The complainant told authorities that she arrived at the house around 1 a.m. and parked on the rear side of the residence. The woman said she laid her purse on the passenger side floorboard of her SUV and left the car doors unlocked for the night. She got ready for work around 6:30 a.m., returned to her car and saw that her center console was open with a few items moved around. Reported missing were a purse, checkbook, and wallet including debit cards, a Social Security card, and driver’s license. There was no forced entry into the vehicle, accordng to a sheriff’s office report.
