•Immanuel Baptist Church: The Ladies Only Luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch and the program at 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday at the church, 701 S. West Ave. Renee Landreneau, a Christian counselor, will be the guest speaker. She is a long-time resident of El Dorado and “by word and message will bring a timely and important message about God as the healer and restorer.” Preschool childcare reservations must be made by noon on Monday and can be made by calling the church at 862-4264.

• Curry Chapel AME Church: The church’s Black History Program will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the church, located in Strong. Special guest for the event will be members of the Promise Dance Academy of Greenville, Mississippi. Lunch will be served. The Rev. Keith Granberry and the church family would like to invited everyone to attend.

•Divine Grace Christian Ministries: A yard sale will be held at 7 a.m. and fish plates will be for sale at 11 a.m. on March 4, at the church, located at 1710 Junction City Road, El Dorado.

• Evergreen Ministries International: A Black History Program will be held at 2:30 on Sunday, at the church, located at 1510 S. Jackson, El Dorado.

• First Baptist Church of Huttig: An anniversary celebration for Pastor and Mrs. W.T. Ward for their 27 years of service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the church, located at 204 12th St., Huttig. Special guests will be Bishop Chester Thompson and members of Zion Hill Baptist Church of Camden.

• First Baptist Church of Smackover: An appreciation event for “Fruitful Praise” will be held at 5 p.m. on March 25, at the church, located at 404 MLK, Smackover. A reception will start at 5 p.m. and the musical program will start at 6 p.m.

•Free Union African Methodist Episcopal Church: The church will have a “Women in Red and Men in Black” event honoring Black History Month. The theme for the event will be, “Torch for the future; There is Hope” and the scripture will be from Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Special guests will include the Rev. Orlando Smith, of County Line Baptist Church in Spearsville, Louisiana and Evangelist Etta Williams of Price Church of God in Christ in Greenville, Texas. The worship leader will be Apostle Phillip M. Gordon of Divine Destiny International. Lunch will be served around 1:30 p.m.

• Freewill Baptist Church: The 31st pastor appreciation program in honor of Pastor Alvin McGhee will be held at 2:30 p.m. on March 12 at the church, located at 1320 E. Faulkner, El Dorado. Pastor Orlando Smith and members of County Line Missionary Baptist Church will be the special guests for the event. Lunch will be served and everyone is invited to attend.

• Living Word Ministry: A “Men of Standard” fellowship program will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday at the church, located at 1009 Rear W. First St., Strong. Speaker for the event will be the Rev. Daryell Howell and the moderator will be the Rev. Kenneth Harris.

•Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church 2: The 12th pastor and wife appreciation day honoring the Rev. Felton Burgie and his family will be held at 2:30 p.m. on March 5 at the church. Guest church will be Good Home Missionary Baptist Church and the Rev. Billy Hunter of Louann. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.

• Our Savior Lutheran Church: The Women’s Missionary League’s annual pancake fundraiser will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, at the church, located at 900 W. Faulkner, El Dorado.

• Shady Grove Baptist Church: Mission Union No. 1 will meet at 6 p.m. on March 2 at the church.

• St. John Missionary Baptist Church: The annual Sunday School program will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the church, located at 1018 Wilson St., El Dorado. Guests for the event will be the Rev. Doug Marsh and members of New Mount Union Baptist Church of Junction City. Everyone is invited to attend. South Arkansas Community College’s Upward Bound will be presenting Gospel Fest IX at 6 p.m. today at the church. The event will feature LeBryant Crew, Upward Bound Gospel Fest Choir, Carmelo Brown, SAU Genesis Ministry Choir and Zion Watch Puppet Ministry. Everyone is asked to donate $5. All proceeds will go to the SouthArk Upward Bound Scholarship and Activity Fund.

• St. Vestal Christian Methodist Episcopal Church: The church will be celebrating their 147th anniversary at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the church, located at 1001 N. West Ave, El Dorado. Special guests will include the Rev. Don White Sr., pastor of Mount Zion C.M.E. Church of Hope, as well as the presiding elder of the west district of Arkansas. Everyone is invited to attend.

• Trinity Chapel Assembly of God Church: Bowen and Humphrey will be holding a concert at 6:30 p.m. on March 2, at the church located on Arkansas 15 south. A love offering will be taken. Refreshments will be served after the concert and everyone is invited to attend.

• Union Mission Baptist Church: A Family and Friends Day will be held at 2:30 p.m. on March 12 at the church, located at 1621 Short E. Hillsboro, El Dorado, where the Rev. Daniel Willis is pastor. Guest speaker for the event will be the Rev. Enzo White of Beulah Grove Baptist Church of Wesson. The emcee will be James Oliver.

• Wesson Street Church of God in Christ: The annual Men’s and Women’s Day will be held at the church, 1221 E. Wesson, El Dorado, at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Roy Aaron and members of the First St. James congregation. Host pastor will be Superintendent Lennie Clemons. Everyone is invited to attend.
