The El Dorado News-Times is asking readers to help Santa find a lost gift in the area as part of a holiday promotion.
Beginning in today’s paper, a riddle will be hidden inside the daily editions. The riddles will lead participants to various clues hiding all over Union County and whoever finds the Prize Medallion will win a sterling silver with white sapphires Palazzor necklace and bracelet set from Taylor Jewelry & Design that is valued at $650.
Participants must abide by all contest rules:
Obey all trespassing laws and do not damage any property;
Participants will not need to dig, use a ladder or turn over anything to find the Prize Medallion;
No hints will be provided on what the medallion looks like, but you’ll know it when you see it.
The medallion will not be hidden in a private home residence or a cemetery;
It may be hidden on a public right-of-way, but not in the middle of a road;
Employees, contractors and families of News-Times Publishing Company are not eligible to win.
Participants also are reminded not to climb on a roof or in any way endanger their physical safety while looking for the medallion.
Constructing the daily riddles will the be key to finding the medallion’s location - missing one clue could throw you off. The first person to find the Prize Medallion and return it to the El Dorado News-Times office at 111 N. Madison between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, will win the prize.
